Barrel Boy!!!!!!!!!
Lately I’ve been into making these gentle giants …and it seems others are as well.
They come in a variety of positions and layers of interactivity. So far, they’ve been to an art gallery, at the Glow parade in Monticello, a selfie park at Sever’s family farm, roadside and the Glow Holiday Festival at the CHS field in ST Paul. I try to give a third of my sales towards efforts to stop sex trafficking. Sometimes it’s “in-kind”. I gathered some film professionals to help produce this message for Men As Peacemakers.
There is something we can all do.
Most of the time I try to donate to “survivor led” organizations that are actually providing services, such as Breaking Free in St Paul MN. The Stories Foundation and their efforts to create a cafe, training center and living space. 180 Degrees/ Brittany’s Place a shelter for girls who’ve experienced sex trafficking. Elpis Enterprises works with youth experiencing homelessness and unstable housing.
I urge you to look into efforts in your own area.
